Palestinian Women Project

This project was funded by the Italian Cooperation for Development ROSS Emergency Program and implemented by Ricerca e Cooperazione in collaboration with other Palestinian and Lebanese NGOs.

This project was based on an exposition (In Rome) of manufactures created by a group of Palestinian women living in Lebanon. The main objective was to promote their knowledge and their traditions through the art of embroidery, the artistic expression of the Palestinian identity, unique for both its cultural and social meanings. The purpose of our work is to demonstrate how through these embroideries life is restored to these women, and the general composition is based on black / white as well as colored photography. Through the elegant design, the value and beauty of their work is reflected.
